Police have recovered a £2,100 engagement ring  swallowed during an attempted jewellery shop raid.
Ronald Perley, 52, was charged with theft and falsifying physical evidence after X-rays showed the 14-carat white gold ring with princess-cut diamonds inside him.
WMUR-TV said police in New Hampshire recovered the ring yesterday.
Perley allegedly went into a shop in Manchester on Thursday asking about engagement rings.
Workers said he grabbed a ring, then swallowed it after being confronted.
