the acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993, presidential election.
He made the appeal in Ojagbo, the country home of late MKO Abiola, on the occasion of the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the land mark election.

“I take advantage of today’s 20th anniversary of June 12 to request President Jonathan to invite the MKO Abiola family to a meeting.
“This is to deliberate on how the Federal Government intends to settle the debts owed that political icon, business mogul and symbol of our modern day democracy, “ he said.
Mubashiru, who is the head of Abiola family, thanked all Nigerians for the support shown to the family and for standing by the ideals of the election.
“At this juncture, I will like to recall the immense support of former President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida to the Abiola family over the years. I pray that the Almighty God shall continue to guard and guide him right.
